Lorraine Clark - Referee Support Scheme Co-ordinator Lorraine is a Category 4b Referee and is the Referee Support
Scheme Co-ordinator of the Association supporting new Trainees into their refereeing
career. For the Third part of the Refereeing Exam, the Co-ordinator first seeks out experienced and willing members of the Association who will offer their services as Mentors to the new Trainees. The Mentor will be there to occasionally observe their appointed Trainee and give advice and encouragement on any part of the game where needed. Once a Mentor is allocated to a Trainee, it is the Referee Support Scheme Co-ordinator’s responsibility to allocate the first suitable game for Trainees and organise for them to be assessed by their Mentor After successful completion of this game the Co-ordinator is on hand where necessary, to continue to allocate further games if this is required by the Trainee. Alternatively, the Co-ordinator will find a suitable Football League for the new Referee to start off their career. The Referee Support Scheme Co-ordinator is always at the end of the phone to help where and when she can. |
